I've been really bad about updating, but once a month isn't so bad. With going back to school and all that comes with it, I haven't had much free time.
Joshua is now 2 months old! We had his 2 month appointment on the 20th. We survived, but not without tears from Joshua and Mommy. He weighs 13 pounds and is 22 inches long. Dr. Geddes was pleased with Joshua's growth and said he's doing great. At the end of the appointment he got his shots. After his 9:00 pm feeding he went to bed and didn't wake up until 7:00 am! The doctor said that might happen and we enjoyed the uninterrupted sleep.
I have had to go through Joshua's clothes a few times to shift sizes. He is wearing mostly 3 month sizes with the exception of a few outfits. With the gorgeous weather we've been having (upper 70's/low 80's) I might have to go buy some short-sleeve outfits in smaller sizes. Although, Joshua prefers to be warm and snuggly so we might be OK with the long-sleeves still.
Recently, Joshua has been smiling a lot more. He smiles with a purpose and in response to us. He has also begun grabbing for and batting at his toys while playing on his play mat. Joshua loves to play, smile and is beginning to laugh.
Joshua is just getting over his first cold. He has been congested which causes him to cough. He's also got a runny nose. Whenever I use the thing to clear out snot, he sneezes and usually cries. However, the sneezes help clear things out too. We've had some cranky evenings but usually nighttime isn't too bad. Luckily I'm on spring break so I can be home with my sick little boy. Although its frustrating when he's coughing and there's not much I can do, I enjoy the cuddles that he insists upon for comfort through this cold.
On the 17th we had another shower with the Blackmers and Harts. Everyone got together at Grandma Hart's for snacks, cake, games and gifts. We again are so blessed to have so many wonderful people to give such wonderful gifts to Joshua. After the shower the women stuck around and were soon joined by the men for an evening of pizza and catching up. The following day we joined Andy's cousin Katie, her husband Austin, and their son Aiden for an afternoon at the Burpee Natural History Museum. Andy's mom and Aunt Lori went along too. We all enjoyed walking through the different exhibits and seeing Aiden's eyes widen in amazement. After a short walk along the river we went back to Grandma Hart's for another evening with the family.

Joshua seems to grow and change from one day to the next. We are cherishing every moment with our happy baby boy...even those moments filled with crying, runny noses and full diapers.
