The title of this entry is what the doctor said to me at my 23 week appointment today. I'm sure the baby is just having a growth spurt and it has nothing to do with the cheesecake I've been eating lately. The appointment went well with a good heartbeat, average blood-pressure for me, and a decent belly measurement.. Our little boy has continued to be very active. Andy has had many opportunities to feel the baby moving around and kicking. We've been trying to read books and talk to him regularly. On a few occasions I have turned on music with my phone and placed my phone on my belly. Soon after, he begins to kick my phone. I've begun looking for cribs, strollers, and carseats. This has proven to be a difficult task, since I want something safe but that looks good as well. I anticipate our baby boy's arrival more and more each day and can't wait to meet him!

"I remember sayin' I don't care either way Just as long as he or she is healthy, I'm okay"
This past Friday, September 2nd, I had my doctor's appointment. After much deliberation we decided to find out the gender of the baby. Andy was hesitant, mostly because he was afraid his fear of it being a girl would become true. As we walked back to the room, the ultrasound technician asked if we were going to find out the gender. As soon as the first image came on the screen, Andy asked, "Is that what I think it is?" The technician told him to point to what he was talking about. Andy saw right, we're having a boy! Although we would be happy with a boy or girl as long as it's healthy, we both wanted a boy. Someone was listening to our prayers. We spent quite a bit of time looking at our little guy and getting ultrasound pictures. I always thought the 3D ones were creepy, but I guess when it's your own baby it's different. He's adorable! He is becoming more and more active; or at least I'm noticing it more. Weighing in at about 11 ounces may be the cause of me feeling all the jabs, kicks and rolls. He certainly was active during the ultrasound. Each time we tried to get a profile he turned away. The technician had me roll over to get him to move and he did a couple complete turns just to avoid the "camera". Below are the pictures we got of him.
